Ordered your book at the Gilder Lehrman Teacher Symposium! Can’t wait to receive it. Thanks for your continued work with Clay Jenkinson as well. Always look forward to hearing your discussions.
Pre-ordered your new book, and would like to read ALL those you're currently reading/about to read (I'm currently working my way through LaCroix's and enjoy Congressional memoirs, so looking forward to Pelosi's book).
I am new here, and just came aware of you and your work! This is wonderful. I am a (very) amateur student of history and love presidential biographies. Maybe be a presidential biographer when I grow up! Just ordered your John Adams bio. Thank you for curating this space and look forward to joining the community! Any book events in Chicago coming soon?
Just wanted to suggest that you might write about Lafayette since here in NYC we've just launched the 200th anniversary of his 50th anniversary tour of the (then) 24 states. The idea of anniversaries is very time as we have the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the Dutch in NY this year, the 400th anniversary of the (official) founding of New Amsterdam, aka, New York, and the coming soon 250 anniversary of our nation's founding. What significance do these anniversary carry, especially in relationship to the current political trauma we are all experiencing?
"John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, on a small farm in Braintree, Massachusetts. A fifth- generation New Englander, Adams followed the family tradition. "
Great story about the first Presidential home!!! Thank you....
"But no one else possessed his stature or enjoyed the same level of public trust— and no one else ever would again." As a boomer, I I think JFK came close.
My respect for him and his family diminished a bit when I read a book about his family and the desire to retain Presidential power 24 years!
Good luck on the Book Tour. Should you get to the Quad Cities, I definitely wish to meet you.
At present I am having difficulty with the banking system or I would purchased a book by now. Once that is resolved, I shall definitely obtain your book, signed or unsigned!
Dr. C looking forward to your new work on JA. I so appreciated The Cabinet no doubt in that sense many will be inspired! Keep up the great work in educateding any and all. Cheers Bill
Most excited I've been about a book in some time! Eager to receive mine soon. Congrats Lindsay!
Thank you! I so appreciate it :)
My pre-order arrived! Can’t wait to read. I highly recommend Anne Applebaum’s book as well. It connects so many dots in today’s headlines.

Just realized I missed the pre-order. Any chance I can still get a signed copy?
Let me check with Mount Vernon. I'm pretty sure they will be selling signed copies, but I want to be sure.
